Bridal Show Marketing tips!

Some tidbits....from your fellow Drama Queens

It's the beginning of a new year and it is time to get down and dirty with your marketing campaign. You need to have a marketing plan that is simple and easy to follow. If you don't have one yet, get one. Remember, fail to plan and you may as well plan to fail.

A marketing plan can do wonders for your business! Just ask any Mary Kay representative! Mary Kay was the master at setting goals and having a marketing plan. If your email box is full, your phone is ringing and you've got bookings on your calendar, then you have a head start and are on the right path. If not, get off your tush (speaking politely here) and take some ACTION!

Your game plan is to get yourself in front of potentials, potentials equals money in the bank, your bank!

When a "potential" bride has your business card, brochure or whatever marketing material you may use in her hand, that's just the beginning!  Your material should grab her attention enough for her to want to talk to you. However, it is up to you to make the sale, not the business card, they don't talk, not yet anyway. At one point you need to have personal contact, up front exposure, face to face time, it's crucial. We make more customers with face to face time than any other way. That's how we roll. Seldom do we make many customers via emails and phone calls, at times yes, but mostly, no.

That's where we come in....with exposure for you through our bridal show!

  • Ask the shows producer to give you access to some of their previous exhibitors. Sometimes you have to dig a little to get the truth.
  • As bridal show producers, it is our job to bring the brides to you. However it is your job to book these brides and make them yours!
  • Follow up, Follow up, Follow up is crucial, it's where the gold is!
  • Find a show who's main concern is bringing in the brides.
  • Find a show who limits their categories to match the size of the show.
  • Find a show who's producer is hands on.
  • Be honest, if you don't travel 50 miles for business don't say you travel.
  • Way too many exhibitors are not assertive enough at shows, don't expect all the brides to come and talk to you. Be courageous and step out from behind your table and engage them. Don't sit during the exhibition. During the fashion show ok, but not while you are representing your company, stand tall and be seen.
  • Always be courteous and helpful. If you know that a bride is not a "match" for you, offer them a referral to someone who may be a match. Referrals are awesome, and they come full circle
  • Email the brides instantly when you get home from the show, tell them it was nice to meet you today etc
  • Have your own sign sheet and take notes of brides that you meet that day, they will be happy to hear that you remember them personally when you are doing your follow up calls and emails.
  • Have a show special, or a booking gift if they book on the spot, lots of people need an incentive.
  • When in doubt, call us and we'll help and if we can't we will find someone who can!
We still have openings for the show in Feb. if you are interested we will send you a vendor packet, show spots are $300 (we extended that price until Feb 1, after Feb 1 it will be $350) We also have some $200 spots open. Hope your holidays were awesome!
So with this list I leave you, hopefully wanting to attend the show or perhaps participating! Peace out for now.

2nd Annual Drama Queens Bridal Show

I'll start by telling you that our first "big" show was a huge success! With well over 200 people and 97 of them were brides! I was pretty amazed at how smooth things went. Everyone of our magnificent vendors showed up with great props for their vendor table and with a great attitude! I thank each and every one of them! They will definitely be remembered and appreciated for trusting in me and my sister to produce a great show. It was our first!

So now we are on to our 2nd annual show, same place, different month, and some familiar faces but some new ones too! I am really excited about our photographers that we have on board! They each seem to have a quality that will no doubt fit nicely in with our production. The brides will for sure find what they need in the photography area of this show! Arianne Lewis of Ari Photography "couture photography for the edgy" is a show sponsor and she will wow you with her unique eye for the not so typical, but off the hook photo shoot! Be sure to ask her about her TTD (trash the dress) sessions! She is located in Riverbank. We also welcome, Anthony and Vanessa Luna of Moondog Photography a husband and wife photography team "whose who love for each other bloomed into a love for inspiring photography." They have a Wedding & Boudoir photography studio located in Modesto. Last, but certainly not least we bring to you Joelle Louise Pulido of JLPulido Photography, as an art major in college, Joelle, "likes her work to be unique, and is tailored to specific individuals."

Of course no show or wedding would be complete with out fabulous sounds, groovey tunes and an emcee that is compared to none, so with that we applaud our in house professional DJ...Sounds in Motion DJ's! DJ George will keep you dancing and entertained all night long or my name isn't Stacy! We also welcome back TNT DJ Video! These 2 brothers have been in the business of making brides happy for over 20 years! Entertainment is so important to any event! Nobody wants to re live the days of teenage dances where the girls are on one side of the room and the boys are on the other. Both of these companies are experts in audio/visual and entertainment.

Paul Mitchell Design Team of Modesto is back to pamper our models that are on the cat walk this year! Hair and make up to die for! Just check out the pics from our last show! The models were beautiful!

So that is it for now, I will be keeping you all updated on the comings and goings of the Drama Queens. I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving, and remember you can be thankful all year long! I am!
